City Never Sleeps is complete: Nurse Harrow, Violet and the first days of all six new heroes
Nurse Harrow released last night: all six City Never Sleeps heroes are here, and over 110 million votes set their order. Over her first night, she wins 51.1% of her matches; Violet, released on Friday, had the most balanced first day of the other five (49%).
Last night, Nurse Harrow joined the game. She was the sixth and last City Never Sleeps release: in a little under three weeks, Valve shipped six heroes, two a week, each one at the announced time. A good moment to compare their starts, all measured the same way.
What Valve says about the vote
Along with Nurse Harrow’s announcement, Valve shared a few numbers about the vote that set the release order:
- over 110 million votes across the whole event;
- the closest contest, Baba against Solomon, came down to about 0.5% of the votes;
- 847 players voted in every round and always picked the eventual winner; 36,236 voted in every round and never got it right;
- 22,194 players voted only for Nurse Harrow, one of whom cast exactly 1,000 votes for her;
- according to Valve, her voters win their matches more often than those of every other hero.
Five first days, far apart
Over their first twenty-four hours, the first five heroes started very far from each other: Rat King at 60.4%, Violet at 49%, Baba at 43.9%, Solomon at 43.4% and Deadman Danny at 38.1%. One start well above 50%, three under 44%, and only one close to even.

Nurse Harrow: the first night
Nurse Harrow released yesterday at 2 pm Pacific. Over her first ten hours, she wins 51.1% of her matches (29,331 matches): the second-best start of the six over the same span, between Rat King (59.5%) and Violet (48.3%). She starts above 50%, which only Rat King had done among the six. In ranked: 47.9%. Over the night, she ranks 15th of 44 heroes and is in 95% of matches.
Ten hours is short, and the European night weighs on the sample. New heroes often climb in the following days: Baba went from 44 to 56% in five days.
Violet, the most balanced first day
Released on Friday, Violet started at 49% and kept climbing: 50.2% on day two, 51.1% on day three, 50.9% on day four. In ranked, the slope is the same, from 45% to 48-49%. Over the last two days, she ranks 14th of 43 heroes at 51%, and above all she is the most played of the new heroes: in 73% of matches, ahead of Deadman Danny (66%) and Rat King (62%). Valve hasn’t had to touch her.
Where the others stand
Over the two days before Nurse Harrow’s release:
- Rat King is still 2nd in the game at 56.3%, despite the nerf to his ultimate on October 5;
- Baba is back up to 53.5% (7th) after the twelve nerfs of October 14, which had dropped her to 51.9%;
- Deadman Danny is only a point away from even (49%, 20th): 38% on day one, 45% right after his eighteen buffs;
- Solomon, whom Valve hasn’t changed, is at 47% (29th).
What’s next
Nurse Harrow shows up on her page and in the tier list as the hours go by, and every patch’s day-two, day-seven and day-fourteen measurements appear on their own on the patch pages. Next milestone: the end of Season 1, Thursday, November 5 at 2 pm Pacific.
Methodology. Ranked and unranked matches in normal mode, public data from deadlock-api.com pulled on the evening of October 20, 2026. First day = 24 hours from 9 pm UTC on release night. Every hero was measured the same way, hence a few tenths of difference with our earlier articles. “The last two days” = October 18, 9 pm to October 20, 9 pm UTC. Presence = share of matches the hero is in. Voting numbers: Valve’s announcement of October 20. First night = the first ten hours (9 pm to 7 am UTC), measured the same way for all six heroes; Nurse Harrow’s pulled on October 21 at 7 am UTC.
