77,000 players: where does Deadlock actually stand?
Far from its launch peak, the game has settled on a plateau few early access titles reach.
In late July, Deadlock was running around 77,000 concurrent players, with a 24-hour peak of 82,500. The year's high point dates back to January 2026, at nearly 99,000 concurrent connections.
The comparison with the all-time record — 171,490 players in September 2024 — is often used to declare decline. It deserves nuance: that peak came from the initial frenzy around a still-secret game whose access had just widened. Comparing a cruising plateau to a curiosity spike doesn't say much.
Over time, the plateau holds and rises with every major update — the classic pattern of a game in active development. The real unknown remains the full release date, still unannounced, and whether access will eventually open to everyone.
