What the leaks say — and don't say — about upcoming heroes

Game files keep spilling names ahead of time. A word of caution: several have already turned out to be obsolete.

The cycle is well established: with every update, dataminers dig up portraits, voice lines and ability prototypes. The January 2026 leaks called Celeste, Rem, Apollo and Graves — all of which have since shipped.

A more recent wave points to as many as six additional heroes, pieced together from deleted voice lines. The method has limits: this content is often leftover from abandoned prototypes, and Valve routinely reworks everything before release — name, look, abilities.

Take it for what it is: hints about what's in the workshop, not a release calendar. A hero can sit in the files for months before launch, or never make it at all.
